PPF is an optically clear polyurethane film which was originally designed for protection against wear and tear on track cars from high impact debris. Since then it has been adapted to provide mountain bikes with premium protection against stonechips and scratches that come from riding on the trails.

When taken care of correctly our film can last up to 7 years without yellowing or cracking.

Yes! We have a kit that covers the front and side facing areas of the lowers of the forks. This is where we have found are the most damage prone areas. We also over a full lower fork wrap in our thicker film as well. Both kits comes in either a matte or gloss finish.

Edgetech’s Bike Serum is a ceramic top coat that chemically bonds to the surface of your frame. Bike Serum creates an extremely hydrophobic barrier between trail grime and your frame, which makes maintaining your frame a breeze,  while also offering great resistance to all wash chemicals and helping to withstand micro-marring (wash swirls) as well.

Yes, Bike Serum can be applied on top of the film and usually is a popular add on for riders. It is a great addition to keeping the film looking new and making your bike easier to clean and maintain.

Yes of course we do! All our kits are designed in house. When you bring your bike in, we will be able to create a kit specific to your frame. Our in house design team and computer cut process will ensure you have the best coverage for your particular make, model and size.

Yes, we do have a matte film! It is the same thickness as our gloss finish film and has all the same  great properties as its counterpart.

Yes, PPF can be removed by anyone with a heat gun on low heat or with a hair dryer on medium heat.
1. Heat the film and gently lift a corner.
2. Slowly pull the film parallel to the painted surface to avoid leaving adhesive, continue to heat the film as you do so.
3. If any adhesive is left on the bike use a degreasing agent to clean it off.

The process takes 48hrs from drop off. We first prepare the bike by wiping it down, then apply the film and allow it to dry. We let it sit overnight, then in the morning ensure all edges are heated down correctly before the bike is handed back to you.

We do! We stock our heavy duty Gravel Rash film which comes in a textured black finish. It is recommended for areas that are prone to  heavy impacts and hard rubbing such as clamp shuttle and heel rub areas.

We also stock an optically clear 210 micron film, used in our Fork & Crank kits. As well as double layered top and down tubes for aggressive style riders.

Once you’ve booked in we will inform you on how we expect the bike to come in . We do ask that the bikes come in clean and free of any pre-existing film as cleaning and film removal fees may apply. We also need the bikes to have a seat post installed so we can work on them in our stands.

We do not allow returns for a change of mind. If you have bought a product that does not fit your bike, we will happily refund or replace the item for a more suitable product, shipping at the buyer’s expense. We encourage you to contact our team if you are unsure of a product fitting your frame.
